Hello, I'm Ami!

I am the heart behind MATA NÉ VINTAGE and a mom of two sweet boys! 

Growing up in a small mountain town in Japan, I spent my childhood lost in movies and dreaming of faraway places. The stories, style, and spirit of another era on screen — that’s where my love for vintage fashion began, and it remains a big part of who I am today in Montreal.

Over the years, I’ve been finding one-of-a-kind vintage treasures— not just for myself, but for my family too! Watching my boys run wild in bold colours and playful patterns brings me so much joy — and I want to share that joy with your family.

"MATA NÉ" means "See you again" in Japanese (またね). It’s my hope that these pieces get passed along from child to child — and maybe one day, make their way back to me!

I truly believe secondhand is the future. These beautiful pieces are made to be loved again and again. Let’s normalize secondhand for the next generation!
